The process of creating this one-of-a-kind piece really made me step out of my comfort zone as a designer. I had many hurdles as I created this piece - from material changes, machine breakdowns, design alterations, and even introducing a chainsaw to a lathe!

This past Saturday morning, over 80 tree-enthusiasts bundled up and braved the cold to take part in the LEAF Winter Tree Identification Tour. Participants enjoyed learning about an interesting diversity of species as well as the best ways to tell them apart during the dormant season.
