We all have our own reason for donating to LEAF’s Urban Forest Fund – most of them start with a personal connection to a special tree, park or natural area – but all donors want to ensure that our urban forest continues to grow, and they believe that through LEAF’s programs, we can collectively make a difference.

Here is why Helen of Toronto donates to LEAF’s Urban Forest Fund:

“The urban forest starts in my backyard, my street, my neighbourhood and is a network connecting all of us within the city. This forest shades, protects, beautifies, feeds and purifies. It is a pivotal force in the natural environment. Donating to LEAF's Urban Forest Fund was a way of supporting our leafy canopy and trying to keep it healthy and growing strong through storm and blight.”

LEAF established the Urban Forest Fund at Tides Canada Foundation for the purpose of educating the public about the importance of forests and implementing projects designed to improve the urban environment. Tides Canada Foundation makes grants from this fund to Canadian registered charities who work in partnership with LEAF to deliver special projects.
