Would you like to be able to identify the tree species around you? Do you want to learn best practices for selecting, planting and caring for trees in your yard or community?
Our Tree Tenders Volunteer Training multi-day course will give you a solid understanding of how trees function and what they need to survive and thrive. You’ll learn about the benefits of urban trees and the challenges they face. Our expert instructors deliver engaging indoor and outdoor sessions that will give you skills you can apply immediately. You will walk away with a deeper understanding and be inspired to become an urban forest leader in your community. This is a multi-day course.

The Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre facility is fully accessible by Ontario standards. Outdoor components will involve walking in the park on relatively smooth but unpaved ground and on sidewalks throughout the neighbourhood.
