Join us for a guided winter tree identification tour at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens! As the leaves fall and the seasons change, discover how to recognize trees by their buds, bark and the evergreen needles that remain vibrant throughout the colder months.
Nestled in the heart of Oshawa, the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens offers a tranquil landscape with a variety of trees for us to observe along the Oshawa Creek.
This guided tour will also explore the vital role trees and green spaces play in combating climate change, while enhancing our appreciation for the diversity of trees in our communities.
This event will involve walking through the gardens on paved walkways. Our route will include uneven, sloped pavement and crossing a pedestrian bridge. For accessibility questions, please contact Natasha@yourleaf.org.
This event is supported by Ontario Power Generation.
